IHOP’s lunch menu has plenty of choices for everyone. While most people go there for the all-day breakfast menu, the IHOP lunch specials are also pretty good. Normally, if I go to my local IHOP during lunchtime I’d order a sandwich or the sirloin steak tips with sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions. But there are a lot more options to choose from. I’ll list them in this post.
What are the IHOP Lunch Specials?
The thing with IHOP is that you can order any item on the menu all day. That means if you want a stack of pancakes for dinner, or burgers for breakfast, you can. But they do have menu options that are more suitable for lunch, including:
Salad
IHOP’s chopped chicken salad has chicken (you can choose grilled or fried), hickory-smoked bacon, avocado, tomatoes, cheese and more.
Ultimate Steakburgers
For burgers they have the Classic Burger, Classic with Bacon, Bourbon Bacon Jam, Big Brunch, Cowboy BBQ Burger and Jalapeño Kick Burger.
Sandwiches
I’m also a big fan of IHOP’s sandwiches especially the Philly Cheese Steak Stacker. But I’ll provide a list of all the sandwiches on their menu in a bit.

This is beef steak smothered in hearty gravy.
Pot Roast
This dish is made of tender slow-braised beef and gravy.
T-Bone Steak
People normally order this at dinner time but I’ll include it here anyway in case you find yourself very hungry.
Atlantic Salmon
This dish is grilled salmon fillet.
Sirloin Steak Tips
And of course, my favorite – sirloin steak tips with onions and mushrooms.
What are the popular burgers at IHOP?
The Classic Burger is the most ordered steakburger at IHOP. It’s a nice juicy burger with IHOP’s special sauce, which I think is the real star of the show. But you should also try the Jalapeno Kick Burger, which has sautéed jalapeños, serrano peppers & onions, bacon, four-cheese, lettuce, tomato, & mayo. And of course, let’s not forget the Bourbon Bacon Jam burger which has Bourbon bacon jam, bacon, American cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise. Prices of IHOP meal vary by location.
What are the most ordered sandwiches at IHOP?
I usually order the Philly Cheese Steak Stacker but the Turkey Melt and the Nashville Hot Chicken Melt are just as delicious. The Philly Cheese Steak has grilled sirloin steak & onions topped with American cheese and a roll, while the Cali Roasted Turkey Melt has Turkey Breast, bacon, roasted tomatoes, 4-cheese, avocado and mayo. Meanwhile, the Nashville Hot Chicken Melt has crispy chicken breast (tossed in Nashville hot sauce), American cheese, 4-cheese and thick bread. Yum!
What’s the Create Your Own Griddle at IHOP?
IHOP offers many delicious options under the IHOP’s Choice menu, including “Create Your Own Griddle” which lets you build your own griddle combination. What this means is you can build your own plate just how you like it. You can choose from either pancakes, Milkshakes, French toast, waffle or crepes plus 2 eggs cooked your way, and 2 bacon strips or if you prefer, 2 sausage links.
What are IHOP’s lunch hours?
IHOP restaurants follow the company’s “minimum hours” guideline even the independent franchisees. If your local IHOP has specific open and closing hours, it means they are able to serve lunch menu items within these hours.

Recently visited and happy to see an expanded menu that offers among other things protein pancake options. They also opened an additional small room, and no longer rely on plastic utensils anymore (although if you drop one, they’ll bring you a plastic replacement for some reason).
Our waitress was excellent and the food really filling: I think I would’ve been okay with one mixed-berry protein pancake with my protein sides as I couldn’t finish them and my partner didn’t need lunch with her Spicy Poblano Omelette.
One thing that was annoying was one of the workers was arguing with another on the other side of the cut-out wall, one seat over from us, and we could hear their whole conversation throughout the meal: I can’t imagine how the couple sitting directly within earshot felt.

5 star service tonight (last night at 10) accidents happen and my food wasnt submitted to the kitchen, and neither was my friends. After an argument with the server the manager stepped in and comped my food. I was pretty angry with the server and all is forgiven and im happy write a good review in hopes this changes her perspective on customer service. I will come back and in turn give her more tip money because of her manager stepping in and showing the upmost care for her guests. Im very impressed.
